For over 20 years, eBay has been a leading marketplace, connecting shoppers to its one billion listings and serving as a platform that enables sellers to grow their businesses. Today, at the Anita Borg Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing conference, we announced the next milestone for the eBay Developers Program: We are revamping our API platform with ten new standards-based APIs, with more to come in 2017.

“We started this journey with one partner and realized early on that this could be massively beneficial for our global community of developers,” said Gail Frederick, Senior Director of the eBay Developers Program and eBay’s Developer Ecosystem and Services organization, who has been leading the team of engineers focused on eBay’s new APIs. “Today’s API announcement is a win-win: we are enabling our partners to grow their customer base and easily scale their business.”

With these new APIs, eBay is arming you with more technology and features that benefit both buyers and sellers. eBay’s Sell APIs give sellers and third-party developers all the capabilities needed to programmatically manage your eBay business end-to-end; and eBay's Buy APIs enable developers to give shoppers the option to buy eBay sellers' items anywhere-—without being redirected to eBay.com.
