In my description, I use in my JavaScript function and I am getting the following error:

    <ShortMessage>Java script not allowed.</ShortMessage>

    <LongMessage>Either your Description, Location, or Checkout Instructions has Java script that is not allowed.</LongMessage>









eBay does not permit the use of several types of HTML and JavaScript functions in member listings, Stores pages, About Me pages, or Want-It-Now ads.   HTML or JavaScript that creates automatic "pop-ups" is one of them.  Hence when you use in your JavaScript, you get the Java Script error.  If you need to add links in your description that open in a new window, use anchors and set the target to blank.  Here is an example:
